Contributing to the creation of a sustainable future and an energy-smart world, I created images of endangered and protected Lithuanian animals and plants for the walls of the Vilnius IGNITIS office using my unique carbon monotype technique. These wall illustrations not only enliven the environment, but also remind us of the harmful effects of climate change.
Hundreds of prints of various textures and details took on a new form in these works and unfolded in the silhouettes of various animals. The image, composed of separate, small elements, perfectly illustrates that every detail is important when creating a picture. Just as each day-to-day choice is significant in achieving common goals. More about the project.
IGNITIS GROUP (formerly Lietuvos energija) - a group of energy companies managed by the Lithuanian state, whose activities include the production, supply, import, export, trade and distribution of electricity and heat energy, natural gas supply and distribution, as well as the servicing of the electricity industry and development. IGNITIS is committed to creating a sustainable future, increasing the capacity of electricity production from renewable resources and aiming for a zero balance of greenhouse gas emissions. They invite their customers, partners and all like-minded people to focus and act together.

Druskininkai, Lithuania
I am so excited to share the opening of my exhibition at the Druskininkai Crafts Center "Menų Kalve"!!. This is a long-awaited exhibition in Lithuania, and I am very happy that so many works will be presented in one place! The exhibition will exhibit works from the series "Time", created in 2020 during the pandemic, as well as previous works from 2015 to 2019. Also, next to my graphic creatures, the fantastic Anna Voloshko's @artvoloshko sculptures from "Parallel Worlds" will be exhibited! It seems that the creatures her and I created really exist in some parallel worlds, very close and at a similar time. It is worth seeing and immersing yourself in our world. I welcome you and look forward to your feedback.
Man be galo malonu pasidalinti savo parodos atidarymu Druskininkų Amatų centre "Menų Kalve"!!. Be to, mano grafikos būtybių kaiminystėjė šiam mėnesiui įsikūrė fantastiškos Annos Voloshko skulptūros iš "Paralelinių pasaulių", ir, atrodo, mūsų kurtos būtybės tikrai egzistuoja kažkokiuose paraleliniose pasauliuose labai panašiu laiku, labai šalia. Verta pamatyti ir pasinerti į mūsų pasaulėlį. Labai kviečiu ir labai lauksiu atsiliepimų. Projektą finansuoja Lietuvos Kultūros Taryba.

Ksenia Shinkovskaya is an absolutely unique felt sculptor working in biopunk style and making her own crazy stories, using wool - one of the most traditional materials in the world. She combines it with unexpected, usually found artefacts. This time she promised to bring a lot of driftwood souls for our exhibition… I really can’t wait to see!
I will fill the walls with “The Time”. It is a series of monotypes I made last year during quarantine, with Lithuanian Council for Culture Lietuvos kultūros taryba support. Now I will have a chance to show it all in one place finally. Almost all - the first piece, which started all this series was made in Daugavpils (!!!) Mark Rothko Art centre last year, during graphic art symposium. The tryptic, with the same name “The Time” stays in M.Rothko Art centre. But anyway, this will be the first time when all of these monotypes will be in one city :)

A month of residency at the TYPA museum has become a long-awaited time for me to experiment and refine many previously touched, but never fully disclosed topics. A month of wonderful acquaintances, exchange of ideas, and a time for new topics.
This time I managed to experiment on several points at once. First, the ability to insert color into my established monochrome style. Also, in the vicinity of TYPA, I found many unusual textures, which became the basis for a completely new image of shrimp and other scaly insects in my works. I transferred my graphic images to a ceramic surface also. I shared some practices in my technique at a workshop for the museum, and created an art book from fragments of my carbon monotype works.
I am very happy to get new friends - unique artists, and the beginnings of new joint projects. The only thing to regret is that it was too short. I wish I could stay longer than one month. Thank you all TYPA museum workers and volunteers for amazing time!

Pasaulinės pandemijos sustabdytas laikas. Nieko neliko stabilaus, keičiasi visuomenės, individualumo ir tikrovės samprata - pasaulis iš visų jėgų stengiasi nesugriūti. „LAIKAS“ - tai grafikos darbų serija, vaizduojanti suskaidytus zoomorfinius objektus, reflektuojanti „sustabdytą laiką“ mūsų dienomis. Projektą finansuoja Lietuvos Kultūros Taryba.

The exhibition will also feature a series of my works Nabokov’s Butterflies.
Nabokov’s Butterflies is a series of works inspired by the collection of butterflies of the remarkable writer and scientist-lepidopterist Vladimir Nabokov. It is a great honor for me to present my works in his former house/museum, next to a collection of real butterflies which he first registered over 70 years ago.
Some of my works closely resemble the original butterflies of V. Nabokov, so I gave them the same names. Others were inspired by several different butterflies of the same time.
